Lionel Messi is the type of player opposing fans can only shake their head, smirk and refer to as “this guy.” Really, what can you do? If he’s on the pitch, and the game’s coming down to the wire, you know there’s a higher than likely chance that he’s gonna ruin what would be a victory celebration. Opposing coaches feel the same way, because you can only scheme so much before you get sliced.

Last night’s Spanish Super Cup showcased just that, Messi scored twice on ridiculous shots off of equally ridiculous assists. All leading to a 3 – 2 win that got Real Madrid out of character, playing dirty, and acting salty.
