BOOT UP: HOUSTON DYNAMO BREAK GROUND ON NEW STADIUM

After 5 years in Houston, and 10 years as a franchise(as the San Jose Earthquakes) the Dynamo are finally getting a stadium to call their own. Ground was broken on the near eastside of downtown Houston on a state of  stadium designed by Kansas City based firm Populous. The 22,000 seat stadium will serve as a focal point in revitalizing the eastside, and will also host college football games from nearby HBCU, Texas Southern University, as well as concerts, special events, and lacrosse.
