Diamond Life: Dodgers Back On The Market

Wednesday, November 2, 2011

Frank McCourt and MLB agree to seek approval from bankruptcy court to sell the LA Dodgers. Considered one of the storied franchises in all of sports, the Dodgers have been mired in Frank McCourt’s mishandling of fundamental issues of the team, leading to the team filing for bankruptcy and alienating a loyal fan base. Mark Cuban has been looking to add a baseball team to his portfolio and is rumored to be in the hunt for the Dodgers. Baseball is as old school as they get and they have shunned Cuban in the past and don’t look for them to welcome him in the future but Cuban is exactly what baseball needs and could be perfect for the Dodgers. Cuban recently declined the $1-1.2 billion dollar asking price set by McCourt. Let’s see what happens.
