Diamond Life: H.A.M. Chronicles Volume 98, Chris Carpenter

Cardinals pitcher Chris Carpenter, went above and beyond the call of duty in the top of the 1st inning of game 1 in last night’s World Series. The 36 year old Carpenter put his body up for the team while attacking first base, to tag out Elvis Andrus after a grounder. Check it out in the video above, Carpenter basically goes elbow/face first in the bag to secure the out for the Cardinals. We call it going H.A.M., but it’s just an everyday thing for Carpenter, who’s 8 – 2 for his career in the post season.
