HARD IN THE PAINT: C’S MOVE UP, LOU WILLIAMS ICES THE HEAT

Monday, April 25, 2011

Spike Lee is hurting right now, literally, dude has to be extra salty and probably just tossed his Knicks wood necklace out of the cab on the way back to Brooklyn. The Celtics, who happen to be in veteran playoff warrior mode at the moment, just swept Lee and NYC’s Knicks 4 games to zero recording their first blanking of an opponent since 1992. The 101 – 89 win for the C’s played out like the three before it, Melo balling out of control, Amar’e provided double digit points and rebounds while the rest of the squad got caught up in the hype.

The ‘hype’ involved K.G. and Rajon Rondo leading their team to the next round of the playoffs with time to spare and catch some rest.

Philly’s keeps series alive

‘Crazy Arch,’ is one way to describe Lou Williams last second three point shot that put the 76ers out of the Heats reach in an 86 – 82 win. Lou came off of the bench to lead the 76ers in scoring with 17, Andre Igoudala came through with 16, and Elton Brand had a game high 11 boards to go with 15 points. As usual, Lebron led the Heat with 31 points, but couldn’t pull through on an ill fated drive late in the game to put the Heat back in it. D.Wade was his usual self with 22, but still not the Wade of seasons past that controlled the Heat’s offense. The Heat’s sweep is now null & void, while their future opponent sits on chill in Boston(meaning we don’t think the 76ers will stage a comeback to take the series).
