HARD IN THE PAINT: HEAT GET RIDICULOUS, OKC LOOKS LIKE THE THUNDER AGAIN

Wednesday, May 4, 2011

Ooh Wee(Snoop voice), what’s good with the Heat right now, they just steam rolled the Celtics in Miami again. Lebron James, D.Wade and crew are making the Celtics look old, as evidenced in the video above where Lebron throws Garnett’s ish back at his dome. Further evidence was Garnett shooting 8-20, Paul Pierce heading to the locker room with a strained Achilles, and Ray Allen leaving the court after catching an elbow in the chest from James. Rondo tried to turn it on late and finished with 20 points but it was just too late. James scored 24 of his 35 points in the second half, helping the Heat hold off a regular late game charge for the C’s. Wade wasn’t absent in this game either(28 points), he broke more than his share of ankles last night including a play at the top of the key where it looked like he made Ray Allen faint.

We must admit, it didn’t look good for the Celtics after game 1, and it’s looks even worse after last night’s loss. The series heads to Boston with the C’s ailing, down 0-2 and trying to get back to their game against a team that’s only lost 4 times in the last month.

KD and the Thunder re-up in game 2

The Thunder evened up their series with the Grizzlies last night, courtesy of a trio of H.A.M. going performances from Kevin Durant, Russel Westbrook and James Harden. KD had 26 points, and Westbrook had 24, though he(Westbrook) still took more shots than the rest of the team. But the surprise was James Harden who came off of the bench to add 21 points, guard Eric Maynor also added 15 off of the bench.

Another key to the 111-102 win was keeping Zach Randolph under control, and from the looks of the playoffs so far, holding Z-Bo to 15 points is a solid effort in that experiment. Though the Thunder, chalked it up to wanting it more after suffering embarrassing loss at home. Check Durant’s quote below

“After losing Game 1 at home, you don’t have nothing else to do but play with a chip on your shoulder,” said Durant. “They beat us pretty badly, so we wanted to do the same.” via MiamiHerald
