HARD IN THGE PAINT: CELTICS LEAVE KNICKS STILL LOOKING FOR AN IDENTITY
The Knicks are lost right now, and having to face the C’s when you’re trying to find your team identity isn’t a good look. Check Kevin Garnett mashing on cats in the vid above as evidence, but it wasn’t the only damage done as the C’s prevailed over the Knicks 96 – 86 at MSG last night.
Flailing injuries also made appearances with Ray Allen, Rondo, and Anthony all taking shots that put them face down on the court at one point or another. Big players showed up when needed last night for Boston, KG led with 24 points, Pierce had 22, Allen 15, and Rondo had 13 but scored 10 of those in the 4th and added 12 assist.
The Knicks scoring situation was a little more sinister, Melo had 22, Billups had 21, and Stoudemire had 16 but neither Anthony nor Amar’e scored in the 4th quarter.
