The New Orleans MC has yet to release a full length record but continues to drop dope snippets since 200?. Discusses what it is to be “authentic,” something the rap game is sorely lacking right now. Rocking a pair of orange NB running sneaks, the MC shows the world “I ain’t dead yet mother fucker” (Richard Pryor voice). Next Wednesday will bring the highly anticipated unveiling of the iPad 3. It will also be the first Apple convention without their creative and spiritual leader Steve Jobs. On the 7th of March at the Yuerba Buena Center in San Francisco, Apple fiends will drool and ogle at the new iPad; some details of which seem to be available already. The most notable changes of the revolutionary product appear to be a retina display screen with a higher pixilation and (possibly) the removal of a home button.

Apple-heads have been scrutinizing the invitation for the unveiling, which includes a small picture of the new iPad. What those in the know seem to think so far is that the iPad will likely be equipped with Siri, the voice activated controls of the iPhone 4S. And will have a higher pixilated retina screen that the iPhone has as well. It will also be faster, and no doubt a must have for tablet fiends. As for the details of the new machine, we will all have to wait in anticipation until next Wednesday. Despite all of the excitement, it should be a somber affair as the absence of the courageous and charismatic Steve Jobs will be felt like an elephant in the room.

In anticipation of the 2012 London Olympics, Coca Cola & Mark Ronson traveled the globe, working with Olympic hopefuls and recording the sound of their movement. The result is a mash up of athletic samples, from track spikes tapping on a track, to the sound of a gymnast catching air off a springboard. Brought together nicely by Ronson, with vocals from Katy B laid over the top. Check out the finished product above, and a bonus documentary that follows the “making of” the project.

Athletes featured in the project are U.S. sprinter David Oliver, Dayyan Mohamed Jaffar of Singapore (Archery), the UK’s Darius Knight (Table Tennis), Mexico’s Maria Espinoza (Taekwondo), and sprinter Kseniya Vdovina of Russia.

Spike Lee’s choice of tee, got a lot of attention at last night’s NBA All Star festivities. Spike, sitting courtside and not getting a lot of love from the crowd; rocked an orange Jeremy Lin x Mars Blackmon mash up tee. With Lin in place of Mars, still strapped in Cazal’s, but the Brooklyn is conspicuously missing from Mars’ signature hat. In it’s place, “BAL#!LIN…….

The revolution actually will be televised, only it won’t be the one where people clique up in the name of human rights, or fair wages. People apparently chose to get buck in the name of the Nike Foamposite Galaxy release. Causing the most ratchety of ratchet police actions at a footlocker event in an Orlando area mall late Thursday night. 100′s of Police showed up to bring all of those engaging in “wilding” as taser, billy club, or dog bite straight to the ass. Jordan is not taking any shorts. The basketball mogul is going after the Chinese sportswear brand Qiaodan, pronounced cheow-DEN, in a class action law suit, claiming they have been profiting illegally off of his name since the 1980’s. With the rise in popularity of the NBA in China over the last ten years first with Yao Ming and now Jeremy Lin (of Taiwanese decent), the money generated from basketball in China is big business and Jordan does not want to see any more go out the door. In a statement Jordan said that he would put any money received from the lawsuit back into promoting basketball in China. This is a standup move by Mike who claims the suit is more about principle and protecting his name than about money. Either way we respect Mike for protecting what he has built.
