Trying to one up the ignorance shown by writer Jason Whitlock, the world’s best, yet outspoken boxer has also chosen to spit solid platinum booty chatter regarding the Knicks Jeremy Lin. Yep, that’s right, Floyd Mayweather came to Jason Whitlock’s rescue with this gem, via tweet:

We’ll admit that this isn’t on the level of telling Manny Pacquiao to go make him some sushi, (as far as ignorance goes) but it’s in the same realm. It’s an obvious yet failed point, yes Lin is receiving a lot of attention because he’s a Harvard educated, Asian male in the NBA. We’ll wait for Floyd to get back to us on who the last NBA player was to be cut by 3 teams, make his way up from the D-League and lead his team to five straight victories; while averaging more than 20 points. All of this while playing for a squad, who’s offense is dependent on a competent point guard. Also, the “black guy’s aren’t getting enough attention” angle doesn’t work for the NBA. In that league more than any, black players don’t need any extra spotlight; because they are the spotlight. But don’t get it twisted, results matter and the pre-Lin Knicks weren’t delivering on a nightly basis. Floyd chose to play it like random brothers just walk into the Staples Center and drop 38 on Kobe, nightly.

Seriously, if it wasn’t clear enough before, Mayweather’s random race based assessments regarding anyone’s shine just shouldn’t be taken seriously.
